Pretty dress!

It was 90ish degrees today so Aubree was able to wear one of her new dresses!

Too cute!

KINDERGARTEN!!!

Today at the UNLV preschool, the Sea Turtle class was to walk next door to Paradise Elementary and visit one of their kindergarten classes. Mrs. Rene (Prescott's teacher) said that they had to be at school on time so they wouldn't miss it. Prescott was so excited about it and woke up at 5:45am. He got his clothes ready and didn't want to miss it! He had a great time and can't wait to start school in August.

Obstacle course

This weekend, we had an obstacle course in our backyard!
It was fun!

Our trip to Phoenix April 11-15

Papa and Aubree

AZ bridge over Hoover Dam

Nevada bridge over Hoover Dam

It was a pretty good weekend, Saturday Mom was good, Sunday tired and Monday am we got a call from the nursing home that they rushed her to the ER. She went to breakfast (pureed foods) and slumped over in her wheelchair. She was not responding to them. The ER did a CAT scan and found water on the brain so they sent her to St. Joes hospital (where she had the brain surgeries in May). They found out she had a urinary tract infection and water on the brain. They also were checking to see if she had a seizure. It was tough though since Dad or I weren't there and the nursing home didn't give us a lot of details. They also noticed a bruise on her frontal brain, possible fall or bruise. Dad went home to rest so I stayed with Mom all of Monday. Once she got the IV with antibiotic and fluids, she started talking!! Conversational talking! It was crazy, she saw Hillary Clinton on tv and said her name and that she was running for President. It was great (despite all of the other worries medically that day). Tuesday Aubree had a fever so I didn't get to visit her and we headed back to Vegas. Mom moved out of the ICU on Thursday and returned to the nursing home on Saturday. Hopefully she'll start her therapies Monday and will continue to improve!

The new Dora house and castle

Prescott has ALWAYS wanted the Dora house and a friend of mine was getting rid of hers. She offered it to us before she got rid of it. Prescott was soooo excited and I know that Aubree will enjoy playing with it too. Thanks Audrey!!

Aubree!!

Aubree has 4 teeth with another one on the bottom coming in. She sure loves her brother and likes to "wrestle" with him. Lately Aubree has really enjoyed books. She will sit still and listen to the story read by Mama, Dada AND Prescott. Aubree is a climber! She climbed on top of the Dora house, up the stairs, on top of a drawer or whatever else she can find. Lately she hasn't been real thrilled with the carseat and will sure let you know. Enjoy the photos!

Good news!!

It is a slow journey but my mom has really come a long way in the past few days. On Wednesday, she took about 150 steps with assistance (walker and people helping) AND ate some cottage cheese today. Both of these are huge deals! It shocked all of the nurses, therapists and my dad. I am going this weekend with the kids and look forward to celebrating the good news.
